Discovery Labs' first product based on KL4 technology is SURFAXIN^® (lucinactant), a liquid instillate formulation targeting Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) and multiple additional respiratory conditions. Discovery Labs has received an approvable letter for SURFAXIN from the US FDA for the prevention of RDS in premature infants. The FDA granted Discovery Labs Orphan Drug Status for SURFAXIN for the treatment and prevention of RDS in premature infants.
